Tribe Nine Ends EOS Service Post Launch

Akatsuki Games has announced the End of Service (EOS) for their latest release, Tribe Nine. Surprisingly, the game is shutting down just months after its February launch across Android, iOS, and PC via Steam. Want to know why this promising title met such an early demise? Let's dive in.

Tribe Nine Shutdown Date Confirmed

The servers for Tribe Nine will officially go offline on November 27, 2025. In a disappointing turn, Akatsuki Games revealed that Chapter 4 of the main storyline will never see the light of day - particularly frustrating as the game had just begun teasing major plot developments.

As of May 15th, all development has ceased. This means previously announced updates, features, and planned bug fixes have been scrapped entirely.

Two anticipated characters - Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba - have been removed from the roadmap and will never join the playable roster.

Players will receive refunds for paid Enigma Entities used on specific services including Armed Support, Advanced Support, and the Support Contract – Revenio. These refunds will process after active Revenio contracts expire.

All Enigma Entity and Daily Pass purchases have been disabled across both in-app and web stores, though existing currency will remain usable until the shutdown date.

What Went Wrong for Tribe Nine?

While Tribe Nine offered novel worldbuilding and unique extreme-action RPG gameplay, its problems became apparent early on.

The content rollout proved disastrously slow - just one story chapter and a single event in the first three months. The monetization model also struggled, as players could assemble competitive teams with minimal spending due to the game's generous mechanics.

The gacha approach ultimately backfired for Tribe Nine. While the game remains playable until November, its impending closure marks a cautionary tale for live-service titles. Those who haven't tried it can still download the game via Google Play.
