Ubisoft Remains Committed to the Driver Franchise

Ubisoft Confirms More “Driver” Projects After Cancelation of Show AdaptationUbisoft has officially confirmed to Game File the cancellation of its planned live-action Driver series. Initially announced in 2021 for exclusive streaming on Binge.com, the project was part of Ubisoft's broader initiative to expand its game franchises into new media. As Ubisoft Film & Television head Danielle Kreinik stated at the time, the goal was "to bring our games to life in new and exciting ways."

However, the collaboration ended due to the closure of Hotrod Tanner LLC, a Ubisoft subsidiary involved in film projects and named after the Driver protagonist. A Ubisoft spokesperson stated, "We are no longer moving forward with our partnership with Binge for a Driver series."

The good news for Driver fans is that Ubisoft remains actively developing other projects within the franchise. While specifics are currently unavailable, the company promises exciting announcements in the future. Stay tuned for further Driver updates!
