Cygames has officially announced the global English release of Umamusume: Pretty Derby, their hit horse girl racing simulation. A June 26, 2025 launch date was revealed via Twitter/X on April 27, with pre-registrations opening April 28.

Originally launched in Japan on February 24, 2021 for iOS, Android, and PC, the game features legendary racehorses reborn as "horse girls" - high school students with equine traits like ears, tails, and extraordinary speed. Players guide these characters through intensive training at Tokyo's Tracen Academy as they pursue racing stardom and idol fame.

The Steam description promises an immersive sports life simulation featuring deep training mechanics and high-quality 3D graphics. Through a gacha system, players can collect and train over 20 unique horse girls, preparing them for competitive races and spectacular performances.

According to PocketGamer.biz's March 2025 report, the Japanese version surpassed $2.5 billion in mobile revenue within four years, nearly hitting $1 billion in its debut year alone. Cygames aims to achieve similar success globally with this English localization.
