Mastering Stealth: The Key to AI Hunting

Stealth is paramount. Use your scent tracking ability (press the scent button) to locate nearby AI animals, identified by their icons. A meter appears when you crouch, indicating how close you can get before the animal flees. This meter fills faster with faster movement.

Movement and Wind Direction:

Your movement speed directly impacts your stealth. Sprinting fills the meter instantly, running significantly affects it, trotting less so, and walking is the slowest and most effective approach as you close in. Wind direction is crucial. Downwind detection is quickest; crosswind is moderate; upwind offers the best stealth.

Reading the AI's Behavior:

A question mark above the animal icon indicates increased detection risk. Stop moving completely until the question mark vanishes to avoid spooking the animal.

The Chase:

The meter will likely fill before you reach the AI. Be ready to sprint – the AI is fast, but sprinting should allow you to catch up. AI movement is unpredictable; practice in open fields with minimal obstacles for better tracking.

The Capture and Feast:

Get very close to initiate the bite. Once you've secured your prey, drop and eat it. Repeat the hunting process until you're satisfied.
