World of Warcraft Has Good News for Players Who Forgot to Spend Their Anniversary Event Currency

WoW Patch 11.1 Auto-Converts Unused Bronze Celebration Tokens

Patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft will automatically convert remaining Bronze Celebration Tokens into Timewarped Badges at a 20:1 ratio. This conversion applies to any unused tokens left over from the recent 20th-anniversary event.

The conversion will occur upon a player's first login after Patch 11.1's release. Players are encouraged to log in to claim their Timewarped Badges. Blizzard confirmed no future use for Bronze Celebration Tokens, making this conversion a necessary step to clear unused currency from player inventories.

The World of Warcraft 20th anniversary event, spanning 11 weeks, concluded on January 7th. The event offered players the opportunity to acquire numerous Bronze Celebration Tokens, redeemable for items such as revamped Tier 2 sets and anniversary collectibles. Excess tokens could already be exchanged for Timewarped Badges, the currency used in Timewalking events.

While a precise release date for Patch 11.1 remains unannounced, a February 25th launch is highly probable, aligning with Blizzard's recent update schedule and considering the ongoing in-game events. This timing unfortunately means the token conversion will likely occur after the second Turbulent Timeways event concludes.

Timewarped Badges, obtained through this conversion, can be used in various Timewalking events. All rewards purchasable with Timewarped Badges will remain available, allowing players to save their badges for future events.
