WoW Unveils Upcoming Timewalking Adventure

World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Turbulent Timeways Returns!

World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, offering a whopping seven weeks of Timewalking campaigns, running until February 24th. Get ready for a nostalgic journey through WoW's history, with the chance to earn exciting new rewards, a massive influx of Timewarped Badges, and a significant experience boost.

This extended event builds upon the popular five-week Turbulent Timeways event from September 2023. Players once again have the opportunity to earn the stackable Mastery of Timeways buff, granting a 20% experience bonus after completing four Timewalking dungeons. However, this time the stakes are higher!

A Rewarding Time-Traveling Adventure:

The seven-week journey will chronologically traverse various WoW expansions:

• January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
• January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
• January 21-27: Legion
• January 28-February 3: Classic
• February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
• February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
• February 18-24: Cataclysm

Completing the Mastery of Timeways buff for five out of these seven weeks unlocks the coveted Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2 achievement, rewarding players with the adorable Timely Buzzbee mount. Timewalking vendors across all expansions boast new permanent items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Furthermore, the Sandy Shalewing pet, previously exclusive to the initial Turbulent Timeways event, makes a triumphant return. And to top it all off, the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest now rewards Heroic gear during this event's duration.

Clues to Future Content:

The Turbulent Timeways' conclusion on February 24th offers a tantalizing glimpse into Blizzard's plans. Considering WoW's typical eight-week patch cycle and the holiday season, the event's end strongly suggests that Patch 11.1, "Undermined," will likely launch on February 25th, ten weeks after Patch 11.0.7. With this event, the return of Plunderstorm (January 14th – February 17th), and the impending major content update for The War Within, World of Warcraft is poised for an action-packed start to 2025.
