Wuthering Waves: Complete Last Knight Quest Guide

The Last Knight is a charming side quest enriching the Rinascita region in Honkai: Star Rail's Wuthering Waves. While not as grand as the main storyline or expansive exploration quests, it offers a captivating glimpse into life beyond Ragna City and boasts rewarding prizes. This quest is significantly less complex than, say, "Where Wind Returns To Celestial Realms," requiring less time and effort to complete. Here's a concise walkthrough for your convenience.

Starting The Last Knight Quest

To begin, you must finish Chapter 2 entirely, completing the "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing" quest. We strongly advise completing the main storyline before exploring Rinascita, as many side quests are locked until Chapter 2, Act 3 is finished.

Once finished, head to Egla Town in Whisperwind Haven and locate Cosimo. He's usually found in front of the first house near the main road leading out of town, marked by a blue quest marker on your map.

The Night Reveries

The Night Reveries is a performance honoring a knight who supposedly slew a giant in Whisperwind Haven. This involves defeating the Mad Knight (among other tasks).

The Mad Knight only appears at night. Adjust the in-game time to between 6 PM and 6 AM, then head to the town's central pool. This enemy isn't particularly challenging; use your strongest attacks to defeat it.

The Last Knight: Mimic Chests

After defeating the Mad Knight, travel to the tallest tower in town and fly to Carlow's location, indicated by your quest marker. He'll be unconscious near a large purple flower. Interact with the flower to teleport to a new area where you must identify the genuine chest among mimics.

The first three chests are genuine. In the next set, only one is real; the others are mimics. The correct chest is the second one in the middle-left. Opening it rewards Astrites and other items, but be prepared for a mimic attack afterward. Defeat them and proceed.

The Knight's Trail and The Strange Scent

After the purple flower instance, you'll visit two more locations reportedly visited by the legendary Mad Knight. This involves following quest markers and speaking to NPCs.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby mentions a strange scent. Follow the quest marker uphill to encounter a unique Chop Chop with invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. We recommend equipping a Questless Knight Echo in your main Echo slot to parry attacks and stun the Chop Chop.

Defeating the Chop Chop reveals the truth: there was no legendary knight; Mr. Millkeeper and other Windmill Keepers were the protectors, posing as knights. This revelation causes Carlow to flee.

Find Carlow

Teleport or fly back to Egla Town during the day and find Carlow in a town plaza. He'll be confronted by mocking knights. Instead of backing down, Carlow challenges one to a duel, abandoning the Mad Knight fantasy and embracing true protection.

The quest concludes after Carlow's duel challenge. You'll receive Union XP, Astrites, and resources, completing The Last Knight quest for the Tales of the Isles event.
