Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: New Games and Departures

Microsoft has unveiled its first Xbox Game Pass lineup of 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and announcing some departures. The January additions include a mix of genres, catering to various tastes. Several titles were previously rumored, adding to the excitement.

New Arrivals:

The month kicks off with a strong selection, featuring:

  • Road 96: Available now (January 7th) across all Game Pass tiers, including PC Game Pass. This choice-driven adventure returns after a previous stint on the service.
  • Lightyear Frontier (Preview): Launching January 8th, this sci-fi title offers an early access experience for Standard subscribers.
  • My Time at Sandrock: Also arriving January 8th, providing a relaxing life-sim experience for Standard subscribers.
  • Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders: Joining the lineup on January 8th, offering a unique building and management experience for Standard subscribers.
  • Rolling Hills: Another addition on January 8th, providing a Standard subscription experience.
  • UFC 5: An Ultimate-only title, launching January 14th.
  • Diablo: Exclusive to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, also launching January 14th. This highly anticipated addition will be a major draw for Ultimate subscribers.

Game Pass Ultimate Perks:

Alongside the new games, Game Pass Ultimate members also receive perks including a weapon charm for Apex Legends and DLC packs for First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball, effective January 7th.

Departures:

While new games arrive, several titles are leaving the service on January 15th:

  • Common'hood
  • Escape Academy
  • Exoprimal
  • Figment
  • Insurgency Sandstorm
  • Those Who Remain

Looking Ahead:

This is just the first half of January's lineup. Microsoft promises further announcements for the latter half of the month and beyond, ensuring a continuous stream of fresh gaming experiences for subscribers.
