To ensure your system is up to the task, or to identify if you need to adjust your setup, you can perform the following tests:

TEST 1 (NORMAL COMMUNICATION): This test involves regular speed communication to gauge baseline performance.

TEST 2 (FAST COMMUNICATION): This test pushes the limits with the fastest allowed communication type, but it's only supported by certain vehicle OBD-II protocols.

Note that the ISO 15765-4 CAN protocol is the only OBD-II standard that can deliver up to 140 parameters per second when paired with a high-quality OBD-II adapter chip. Older protocols might limit you to just 4 parameters per second in the worst cases.
