Q+ Player, UPnP DLNA DMR Geek

This portable media player also functions as a UPnP DLNA DMR. It supports SSA/ASS/SUP subtitles...

Acting as a DMR (Digital Media Renderer), this player uses the UPnP DLNA protocol. File access is managed via the user-controlled Storage Access Framework (SAF).

It offers full support for advanced SSA/ASS subtitles, including user-managed font files. Subtitle brightness can be dimmed for optimal HDR and Dolby Vision high-contrast viewing. Font size is also adjustable.

Support extends to SUP (Blu-ray) and VobSub (DVD) subtitles (available from version 5.1). All subtitles, whether embedded in MKV files or loaded separately, can be used. Users can load single subtitle files or packages in Zip/7Z/RAR formats during playback.

Features include HDR/DV playback, digital audio passthrough, MKV chapter navigation, frame-by-frame stepping, audio track selection/delay, subtitle selection/offset, on-screen frame rate display, and automatic refresh rate adjustment.

Dolby Vision playback is confirmed on NVidia Shield TV 2019. Videos can be rotated and zoomed in full screen via pinch gestures.

Originally built for segmented files, it plays m3u8 (HLS) playlists, which now support mp4 and flv files in addition to TS.
