Celebrate 25 years of The Sims with the return of the original games! EA and Maxis have surprised fans with the release of The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection on PC. These comprehensive collections, also available together in The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle for $40, bring back the nostalgic charm of the first two Sims titles.
Each collection includes nearly all expansion and stuff packs—The Sims 2: Legacy Collection notably omits the IKEA Home Stuff pack. However, both receive bonus content: The Sims gets the Throwback Fit Kit, and The Sims 2 boasts a Grunge Revival Kit.
This marks a momentous occasion, as it's the first time in over a decade that both games have been readily available digitally. The Sims was originally a disc-only release, making access difficult for modern players. While The Sims 2 had a brief resurgence with an Ultimate Collection on Origin, that version is no longer available. Now, all four main Sims games are easily accessible through digital storefronts.
