Application Description

Check your WiFi network's security. Are there any intruders? This app tests the WPS protocol.

WPSApp assesses your network's security by utilizing the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) protocol.

This protocol enables connection to a WiFi network using an 8-digit PIN, which is often pre-set on the router. The issue is that the PIN for many routers from various manufacturers is either publicly known or can be calculated.

This application uses these known PINs to attempt connections and determine if your network is vulnerable. It incorporates multiple recognized PIN generation algorithms along with a list of common default PINs. It can also calculate default keys for certain routers, allows you to view WiFi passwords saved on your device, scans for devices connected to your network, and analyzes WiFi channel quality.

Using the app is straightforward. When scanning nearby networks, you’ll see networks marked with a red cross—these are considered "secure." They have WPS disabled and their default passwords are unknown.

Networks appearing with a question mark have WPS enabled, but the PIN is not immediately known. In this case, the app lets you test the most common PINs.

Finally, networks with a green checkmark are most likely vulnerable. They have WPS enabled and a known PIN. A green check may also appear if WPS is disabled but the router's password is known, allowing a connection using that key.

Root access is required only for viewing stored passwords, connecting on Android 9/10, and for some additional functions.

IMPORTANT: Not all networks are vulnerable. A network appearing as vulnerable does not guarantee 100% success, as many manufacturers have updated their router firmware to fix this weakness.

TEST YOUR OWN NETWORK. IF YOU FIND IT IS VULNERABLE... TAKE ACTION. Disable WPS and change your password to a strong, personalized one.

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY MISUSE. UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO NETWORKS IS ILLEGAL AND PUNISHABLE BY LAW.

Starting with Android 6 (Marshmallow), location permissions are required. This is a new Google mandate for this version. More information at: https://developer.android.com/about/versions/marshmallow/android-6.0-changes.html#behavior-hardware-id

Some Samsung models use encryption and do not display actual passwords, instead showing a long string of hexadecimal digits. Search online or contact me if you need help decrypting them.

PIN-based connection does not work on LG models running Android 7 (Nougat) due to an issue with LG's software.

Please understand how the application works before leaving a review.
