Genshin Impact's latest livestream introduced exciting details about the upcoming Version 4.8, aptly titled 'Summertide Scales and Tales,' set to launch on July 17th. This update promises to immerse players in a vibrant summer atmosphere, offering a range of new content and features to explore.

Genshin Impact Version 4.8: What's New

The highlight of Version 4.8 is the introduction of a new summer map called Simulanka. This enchanting locale is filled with origami creatures and clockwork figures, providing a magical backdrop for players to embark on adventures with characters like Kirara, Nilou, Navia, and the Wanderer. Together, they'll solve mysteries, face challenges, and immerse themselves in the summer festivities.

A new five-star character, Emilie, joins the roster as a Dendro polearm user and perfumer, capable of dealing additional damage to Burning enemies. Her debut will be accompanied by Yelan’s rerun in the second half of the Version 4.8 Event Wishes, while Navia and Nilou will kick off the banner cycle with their reruns.

To add to the summer vibes, both Nilou and Kirara are getting special summer outfits. Kirara's new look can be unlocked by collecting 'Excerpts of Bliss' and 'Jubilant Feathers,' while Nilou's floral-themed attire will be available at a limited-time discount.

Simulanka is not just a new map but a hub of seasonal events and mini-games. Players can participate in Boreal Flurry, shooting balloons from an aerial perspective, or try their luck at the claw-machine-inspired Flying Hatter’s Trick to win toy figures. Additionally, the Metropole Trials will challenge players to assemble two teams for thrilling combat scenarios.

Engaging in these activities earns Starsail Coins, which can be exchanged for unique figurines to adorn the "Good Shelves" scattered around Simulanka. Completing the main storylines will also allow players to acquire these shelves as Furnishings for their Serenitea Pot, enhancing their personal space within the game.
