HOW THE GAME WORKS
Kahoot! Algebra by DragonBox introduces players to essential algebraic principles including:

• Addition
• Subtraction
• Division
• Multiplication

Recommended for ages five and up, the game helps young learners become familiar with the basics of equation solving in a playful and colorful environment. It uses a unique teaching method based on discovery and experimentation.

Players start by manipulating cards to isolate the DragonBox on one side of the board. Through this process, they naturally learn the operations required to isolate X on one side of an equation. As they progress, the cards are gradually replaced with numbers and variables, clearly revealing the mathematical operations they've been practicing throughout the game.

No supervision is required to play, though parents may wish to help children apply these skills to traditional paper-based equations. It’s also a fantastic opportunity for parents to play alongside their kids and refresh their own math knowledge.

Developed by former math teacher Jean-Baptiste Huynh, DragonBox has received widespread recognition as a groundbreaking example of game-based learning. Its success led to a major research initiative by the Center for Game Science at the University of Washington.
