2XKO Early Access’ Season 0 Details
Coming October 7
As Riot Games prepares for 2XKO’s Early Access release, they’ve unveiled new insights into Season 0 alongside a fresh cinematic trailer. On October 6, Riot posted the official cinematic “Ties That Bind” on YouTube—a four-minute piece spotlighting the bonds between champions, with Ahri, Yasuo, and Ekko taking center stage. The trailer also teased Warwick’s arrival, later confirmed in a follow-up post.On October 6, 2025, Riot Games also shared a brief overview of Season 0’s patch notes on Twitter (X), with full details available on their website. All progress from the Closed Beta will be erased upon this update. However, Riot confirmed that no account resets will occur after Early Access begins. Early Access remains PC-exclusive for now, but progress made on PC will carry over to consoles once they launch.
Two patches are scheduled early in the season: Patch 1.01 on October 7 at 8 AM PT, followed by Patch 1.0.1.1 on October 9 at 12 PM PT. Online play will be unavailable on October 9 between 8 AM and 12 PM PT.

New Content, Champions, Skins, Stages, and More
2XKO’s Early Access launch delivers a wealth of new content: new champions, skins, stages, and gameplay tweaks. Players who participated in the Closed Beta will unlock the exclusive “Closed Beta Boss” player title upon update.
In addition to the previously announced Teemo, Warwick—the Uncaged Wrath of Zaun—joins the roster. His move set and gameplay trailer debut tomorrow, with a dedicated developer update following the next day.
Beyond the existing tutorials, 2XKO introduces Combo Trials to help players master each champion’s moves. Training Mode now includes a frame data bar, giving players clearer insight into combo gaps and timing.
To deepen immersion, 2XKO adds new stages inspired by Runeterra’s regions. Bandlewood Crossing is available for purchase in the Stages section of the Collection tab, while Firelight Run is the first reward in the paid Battle Pass track.
Though the Closed Beta was well-received, developers will continue refining the game during Early Access—adjusting Fuses and champions, plus fixing bugs. Ranked play launches on October 9, 2025, with Patch 1.0.1.1.
The new Ranked matchmaking system increases queue times to ensure balanced, skill-matched opponents, making rank progression more satisfying and fair.
Battle Pass and Bundles
Season 0 features multiple Battle Pass tiers and bundles packed with exclusive cosmetics. Each season offers a Battle Pass where players earn free and premium rewards by gaining Battle Pass XP through matches.
The free track of Season 0’s Battle Pass grants the Rift Quest Teemo skin, a set of avatar clothing, three stickers, a player card, a player title, and a finisher. Two premium tiers—Deluxe and Ultra—offer additional rewards.
Alongside the Battle Pass, each season introduces Mega Bundles containing premium cosmetics like high-tier skins and finishers. Riot Games has announced four bundles rolling out during Season 0:
● Starter Editions - October 7
● Crime City Mega Bundle - November 4
● Aureate Mega Bundle - December 2
● Snow Moon Mega Bundle - December 23
With all the new features and additions in Early Access, 2XKO offers players a fresh, refined experience in Riot’s long-anticipated fighting game. Despite a challenging start, the team is now gaining momentum, promising around five new champions annually.
