After many years, Carmen Sandiego returns in a new video game from Netflix, a globe-trotting action-adventure based on the animated series. This latest update delivers a powerful nostalgia hit, bringing back the famous theme song and more international intrigue.
The adventure begins in Japan with the first free "FestiVILE," a limited-time event from April 7th to May 4th. Coinciding with the real-world Cherry Blossom festival, Carmen must thwart VILE's scheme to steal a sacred Shinboku tree.
Successfully cracking the case rewards Carmen with a traditional Japanese happi coat, a fresh alternative to her classic red trenchcoat. Be quick—you only have until the event ends to piece together the clues and solve the mystery!

But of course, there's more exciting news. We can confirm the classic Carmen Sandiego theme song is making its comeback! Originally composed by Sean Altman and David Yazbek of Rockapella, this catchy tune is included in the Deluxe Edition soundtrack and can be heard in-game by Standard Edition players.
Although Netflix recently scaled back its interactive "Stories" lineup, the streamer remains dedicated to making this reboot of the iconic 90s heroine a success.
