Civilization VII's Launch and Post-Launch Content Roadmap

Civilization VII, the latest installment in the acclaimed 4X strategy series from Firaxis Games and 2K, is set for release on February 11th, with early access for Deluxe and Founders Edition owners beginning February 6th. The game will be available across all major platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, including Steam Deck compatibility. A day-one patch will also be deployed upon release.

The developers have confirmed the game has gone gold, signifying the completion of primary development and minimizing the risk of further delays.

Post-launch content is planned in two DLC installments:

Crossroads of the World (March Release): This DLC will be released in two parts.

  • Part 1: Introduces Great Britain and Carthage as playable civilizations, along with Ada Lovelace as a new leader.
  • Part 2 (Three weeks after Part 1): Adds Bulgaria and Nepal as playable civilizations, and Simon Bolivar as a new leader.

Right to Rule (Q2/Q3 2025): This DLC will expand the game further with two additional leaders, four new civilizations, and new natural wonders.

Beyond the DLC, Firaxis plans ongoing improvements and additions to the base game. In March, expect new in-game events and natural wonders such as the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest.
