The film was first announced in December 2023 and serves as a direct sequel to the MAPPA-produced anime series that debuted in 2022. It continues the story of Denji, a young boy who transforms his life by merging with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita, gaining the unique ability to sprout chainsaws from his body. As Denji's journey unfolds, he becomes much more than just a simple Chainsaw Man.
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will introduce audiences to a significant character from the original manga, Reze. Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and written by Hiroshi Seko, the movie brings back the entire voice cast from the series to reprise their roles, ensuring a seamless continuation of the gripping narrative.
