Nvidia's CES 2025 keynote unveiled a significant leap in graphics technology: DLSS 4 with Multi-Frame Generation, initially exclusive to the new RTX 50 series GPUs. This technology promises a massive boost in frame rates (FPS) across 75 games, including highly anticipated titles like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Cyberpunk 2077, and Marvel Rivals. The RTX 50 series, codenamed Blackwell, builds upon the Ada Lovelace architecture, enhancing DLSS with Multi-Frame Generation for significantly faster FPS increases compared to its predecessor.
The flagship RTX 5090, boasting 32GB of GDDR7 memory, will retail at $1,999. Other models include the RTX 5080 ($999), RTX 5070 Ti ($749), and RTX 5070 ($549). Nvidia demonstrated the power of DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation using Cyberpunk 2077 as an example, showcasing a jump from under 30 FPS with ray tracing enabled and DLSS off, to an impressive 236 FPS with both technologies activated on the RTX 5090.
