Game Launches On May 20th

Following an exciting reveal trailer, Dune: Awakening is scheduled to launch on May 20th, 2025, initially for PC via Steam. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will follow, though specific dates haven't been announced yet. In the meantime, developer Funcom has opened up the Character Creator and Benchmark Mode, allowing eager players to start their journey to Arrakis. Not only can you fully customize your character, but you can also test your PC's hardware to ensure it's up to the task.

In the Character Creator, you'll have the freedom to tailor every aspect of your appearance, choose your home planet, caste, and mentor or class. These meticulously crafted characters will seamlessly import into the full game upon release. Early birds who create their characters now will be rewarded with an exclusive Frameblade knife skin, redeemable at launch with a special code.

The Benchmark Sequence is designed to assess your PC's performance and adjust graphics settings to find the optimal balance. You'll be taken through a player-built base in the desert, then to the bustling Harkonnen player hub, Harko Village, and finally, you'll face off against a colossal sandworm.
