Dying Light: The Beast's Arsenal Showcased

Author : Eric Update:Jan 19,2026

Dying Light: The Beast Game Director Nathan Lemaire details the arsenal you'll command in Techland's upcoming standalone title—a first-person fusion of melee combat, shooting, and parkour set in an open world. You reprise the role of Kyle Crane, now driven by vengeance against those who experimented on him, transforming him into the titular Beast.

From flamethrowers to brutal (and sometimes rusted) melee tools, the development team is focused on making weapons feel more impactful within the world than in the previous two Dying Light games. Watch the trailer above, and if you missed our exclusive 30-minute extended gameplay showcase, view it below.

In case you missed our other exclusives this month, we published an exclusive hands-on preview—featuring a confrontation with a Chimera—as well as a deep-dive video analyzing the Chimera bosses you'll face.

Dying Light: The Beast launches on August 22 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Keep it locked to IGN throughout June for more exclusive coverage.
