For those not in the know, you might be surprised to learn that the Epic Games Store for mobile follows the lead of its PC counterpart by offering free games for a limited time. The mobile version ups the ante by providing not just monthly, but weekly free games, and not just one, but two!
In the last week of April, you can snag two fantastic titles at no cost: Loop Hero and Chuchel. Regular readers of Pocket Gamer will recognize Loop Hero as a standout favorite, having received a glowing review from Jack. This game offers a captivating roguelike experience that is not to be missed.
Curious about Chuchel? This surreal animated adventure follows the titular character, Chuchel, on his quest to reclaim his stolen cherry. Along the way, Chuchel and his rival Kekel find themselves in a series of hilarious and bizarre situations that you'll either navigate through or simply enjoy watching unfold.
Free-for-allChuchel might have been a bit perplexing at first, but it proved to be an enjoyable experience for our App Army upon its release. Even if it's not your usual genre, you can't beat the price of free. On the other hand, Loop Hero is highly recommended for its blend of challenging gameplay and stunning pixel art.
The Epic Games Store for mobile brings many of the benefits found on the PC version, including these free game releases and access to popular titles like Fortnite, which are otherwise unavailable on mobile devices.
