Unravel the mystery of your father's disappearance in My Father Lied, a captivating point-and-click adventure launching May 30th!
Ahmed Alameen, a writer and filmmaker, presents his debut game, a narrative-driven puzzle adventure steeped in Mesopotamian history. Step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman who embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind her father's vanishing twenty years prior, a mystery further complicated by the revelation of a previously unknown sibling.
Alameen, initially collaborating on the project, took the reins after a team split, mastering game design to bring his vision to life. Employing a unique blend of 2D and 360-degree imagery, including meticulously crafted frame-by-frame cutscenes, My Father Lied delivers stunning visuals optimized for even low-end PCs. The gameplay involves classic point-and-click mechanics, challenging players to piece together images, decipher codes, and explore hauntingly beautiful environments. Alameen cites Myst, Heaven's Vault, and the works of H.P. Lovecraft as key inspirations.
Priced at $10.99/€, My Father Lied will be available on May 30th for iOS, Android, and PC via Steam (add it to your wishlist now!). Mobile pre-registration isn't yet available. Stay connected with Lunar Games on X, Discord, TikTok, and Instagram for updates. A Kickstarter campaign is also in the pipeline, so keep an eye out!
