The iconic Final Fantasy VII soundtrack, "One-Winged Angel," made a surprising appearance at the Louis Vuitton Men's Fall-Winter 2025 fashion show. Discover how this unexpected collaboration unfolded!

A Live Orchestra Performance

The legendary video game track served as the opening piece, performed live by an orchestra as models showcased the latest luxury menswear collection.

Musician and fashion designer Pharrell Williams, the show's creative director, curated the soundtrack. While the show featured predominantly pop artists like The Weeknd, Playboy Carti, Don Toliver, SEVENTEEN, and BTS' j-hope, the inclusion of "One-Winged Angel" – composed by Nobuo Uematsu – stands out. The reason for its selection remains unclear, though it's speculated that Williams' personal appreciation for the music, or perhaps a hidden love for Final Fantasy, played a role. The livestream is available on the official Louis Vuitton YouTube channel.

Square Enix's Delightful Surprise

Square Enix, the game's developer, expressed their surprise and delight on the official Final Fantasy VII X (Twitter) account, stating, "We're thrilled that music director Pharrell Williams and his team included 'One-Winged Angel' in the Louis Vuitton Men's Fall-Winter 2025 Fashion Show!" They included a link to the show's video.

Final Fantasy VII, a cornerstone of the franchise, captivated gamers worldwide upon its 1997 release. The story of Cloud Strife and his companions' fight against Shinra and Sephiroth resonated deeply.

The subsequent Final Fantasy VII Remake Project, a multi-part reimagining, revitalized the classic with modern graphics, expanded storylines, and enhanced gameplay. The first installment, Final Fantasy VII Remake, is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second part, is currently available on PlayStation 5, with a PC release on Steam scheduled for January 23rd. The third part is currently under development.
