
The PC version of the game boasts superior visuals and stability compared to its PS5 counterpart, sparking community discussion regarding the need for a PS5 update. The PS5 version currently suffers from blurry visuals in performance mode, leaving base console owners awaiting patches. Game director Naoki Hamaguchi acknowledges the numerous requests for a PS5 visual upgrade, stating that such improvements are feasible within the PS5's technical constraints.
"Following the PC version's promotional release, we've received considerable requests for a similar PS5 update. We aim to address this at some point, while remaining mindful of the PS5 version's performance capabilities," Hamaguchi explained.
Fans eagerly anticipate Square Enix's response to these requests for enhanced console visuals.
While the team is diligently working on the sequel, Hamaguchi requests patience from fans, promising further details at a later date. He highlights 2024 as a successful year for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second game in the trilogy, citing its global recognition and award wins. The third installment presents unique challenges as the developers strive to expand the game's fanbase. Interestingly, Hamaguchi also noted his interest in Grand Theft Auto VI, expressing support for the Rockstar Games team and acknowledging the immense pressure they face following GTA V's phenomenal success.
