Pokémon Go Hosts Wayfarer Challenge in Chile, India

• The event takes place from March 7th to 9th in Chile and March 10th to 12th in India.

Niantic has launched the Wayfarer Challenge in Pokémon Go, offering trainers in Chile and India the opportunity to influence their in-game world while securing exclusive rewards. By evaluating and approving Wayspot nominations through the Niantic Wayfarer platform, you can help bring new PokéStops and Gyms into Pokémon Go and work toward special milestone-based incentives.

The Wayfarer Challenge in Pokémon Go runs from March 7th to 9th in Chile and from March 10th to 12th in India. Throughout the event, you can submit real-world locations—such as landmarks, sculptures, street art, and more—for consideration as PokéStops and Gyms.

Reviewing these nominations helps achieve community-wide milestones. If 5,000 nominations are resolved, all participants will receive 20 Ultra Balls, a Star Piece, an Incense, and a Poffin. Should the community reach 10,000 approvals, the rewards upgrade to 25 Ultra Balls, two Star Pieces, two Incense, two Poffins, and a Lucky Egg.

To participate, you must be at least level 37 in Pokémon Go and have a Niantic Wayfarer account. New users must complete the Wayfarer Orientation before they can begin reviewing submissions.

You must also have recently played in Chile or India, or set your Wayfarer Hometown or Bonus Location to one of these countries. To be eligible for rewards, you need to review at least 50 nominations, and at least one global milestone must be achieved.

In addition, the PokéStop Challenge event will run from March 9th to 12th exclusively in Chile and India.
