Bethesda and id Software unveiled a fresh DOOM: The Dark Ages gameplay demo during the Xbox showcase, confirming earlier leaks pointing to a May 15th release date.
Transporting players to the medieval era, The Dark Ages promises a distinct gameplay experience. Players will embody a powerful, tank-like "killing machine," a departure from the frenetic, parkour-heavy combat of DOOM: Eternal. Expect grounded combat, utilizing a robust arsenal to obliterate demonic hordes.
Central to this demon-slaying arsenal are a shield and mace. A standout feature is the inclusion of a giant mech, providing a unique advantage against smaller demons. Furthermore, players will even get to ride a dragon during the campaign.
The game boasts a customizable difficulty system, allowing players to fine-tune the challenge level, enemy damage output, and various other parameters to their preference.
