LEGO has unveiled its most ambitious Jurassic World set yet: a colossal T-rex skeleton stretching over three feet long! This impressive build includes minifigures of Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant, iconic characters from the original Jurassic Park film, perfectly complementing the visitor center-inspired design. Priced at $249.99, this magnificent set will be available on the LEGO Store starting March 12th for LEGO Insiders (sign up for free here!), and March 15th for everyone else.

This 3,145-piece set is designed for adult builders (18+), making it ideal for display rather than active play. The build incorporates advanced techniques that might challenge younger builders. Its impressive scale is difficult to fully appreciate from images alone; the inclusion of Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler minifigures provides a helpful sense of proportion, highlighting the over three-foot length of the completed skeleton. The skull is strikingly similar to the currently available LEGO T-rex skull (a set my son built and loved!), but the full skeleton elevates the overall impact significantly.

The articulated joints allow for dynamic posing—move the head, open the jaw, adjust the arms and tail to your liking. Like many movie-themed LEGO sets, this one includes fun Easter eggs to discover during construction. A display stand and informational plaque detailing the T-rex's diet, habitat, and other fascinating facts are also included.

While the LEGO Jurassic World collection may not yet rival the scale of LEGO Star Wars or LEGO Harry Potter, its rapid growth is impressive. I, for one, eagerly anticipate more adult-oriented LEGO sets like this fantastic T-rex skeleton in the future.
