Leslie Benzies, the mastermind behind Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption, is poised to unleash his next creation: MindsEye. Recently showcased at PlayStation's State of Play, this high-tech spy thriller offers a fresh glimpse into its captivating world.
A new trailer reveals a game brimming with third-person gunplay, stunning cinematic sequences, and thrilling drive-by shootings, echoing familiar elements from Benzies' previous work. Watch the cinematic trailer below:
MindsEye follows Jacob Diaz, a character burdened by a neural implant—the titular MindsEye—that fragments his memories, leaving him with disjointed flashbacks of his military past. Driven by the need to uncover the truth, Diaz embarks on a mission that pits him against an AI-powered military force.
The game, announced several years ago, marks a significant project for Benzies' new studio, Build a Rocket Boy, in collaboration with IO Interactive, the creators of Hitman. Initially billed as a AAA action-adventure title, MindsEye will also launch alongside the Everywhere platform, previously described as a "big-budget Roblox" following a studio visit in 2024.
While the new trailer omits mention of Everywhere, MindsEye itself promises an exciting action-packed experience from a gaming legend. Its release is slated for Summer 2025.
