Where to Find the Signal Redirector in Atomfall

The Signal Redirector isn't something you can easily stumble upon or purchase from a trader. It's a special item linked to a key character in the game, Dr. Diane Garrow, a former B.A.R.D scientist. To get your hands on it, you'll first need to follow a lead from Wyndham Village to locate her. Your mission is to rescue Dr. Garrow, who is imprisoned deep within the Protocol prison camp in Skethermoor.

Reaching Skethermoor is no small feat due to the heavy presence of Protocol soldiers. To ease your infiltration, consider meeting Captain Grant Sims in Wyndham Village. By assisting him with tasks like recovering stolen items, you can gain some favor with Protocol, which might help in your mission.

Once prepared, head to the Protocol prison camp on the southern border of Skethermoor. The underground prison entrance is at the end of the southernmost road, marked by a large green door. Inside, you'll navigate through multiple levels, dodging or confronting guards and robots. Don't forget, B.A.R.D robots can be disabled to collect their **Atomic Batteries**, essential for The Interchange.

Descend to the prison's lowest level, beyond the dig site, where Dr. Garrow is held in a standalone cell in the main room. To free her, you'll need the Signal Redirector, which is stored in the nearby Storage room on a shelf. Retrieving it will also earn you the **‘Reverse the Polarity’ trophy/achievement**.

How to Use the Signal Redirector in Atomfall

Developed by Dr. Garrow, the Signal Redirector functions as a hacking tool, allowing you to reroute power within yellow junction boxes to different sources. This capability is invaluable for disabling security systems or accessing locked areas.

Similar to the Metal Detector, the Signal Redirector will alert you with an icon at the bottom of your screen when a hackable junction box is nearby. The device's needle will guide you to the box, which will highlight once you're close enough. Use the 'Hack' button to reroute the power, and if necessary, you can reverse the hack by repeating the process.
