2024年11月26日，Pokémon公司打破了吉尼斯世界纪录中“最长开箱直播”的纪录。这场直播活动是为了庆祝宝可梦集换式卡牌游戏最新扩展包《宝可梦集换式卡牌游戏：绯红·紫罗兰—汹涌火花》的发布。

直播邀请了知名网络红人参与，包括Serebii网站站长Joe Merrick以及社交媒体影响者PokeGirl Ranch和Mayplaystv。这场直播在Pokémon的Twitch频道上持续超过24小时。三位网络红人共打开了1500包增强包，并拆开了其他宝可梦周边产品。据Pokémon官方新闻网站报道，直播结束后，他们共收集了2万多张卡牌。

这款宝可梦集换式卡牌游戏的最新扩展包于2024年11月8日正式发布，将玩家带到了《宝可梦：绯红·紫罗兰》DLC第二部分《靛蓝圆盘》的主要场景——奇异空间。它包含了闪耀太晶宝可梦ex，包括拥有终极防御技能“金属防御”的阿尔宙斯ex。

这款新的扩展包还包含了标志性的龙系宝可梦，如帕路奇亚、帝牙卢卡、艾特纳多斯、阿罗拉椰蛋树ex和赤齿鳞ex。为了营造更热带的风情，游戏中还提供了插画稀有卡和特别插画稀有卡，包括描绘“平静的海浪和温暖的微风”的阿罗拉三地鼠和霏丝。新的太晶宝可梦ex也加入了这款增强包，为集换式卡牌游戏玩家的卡组增添趣味，例如沙奈朵ex和飞天螳螂ex。

这款新的扩展包也可以通过宝可梦集换式卡牌游戏Live应用程序获得。数字玩家甚至可以通过收集和对战最新的闪耀太晶宝可梦ex来获得游戏内奖励。
