Activists have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of subpoenas within the game, sparking a campaign to cancel the project.
The game's recent attention stems from "agenda-driven" activists, including Grummz, who publicized the game's ban in Saudi Arabia. This fueled speculation about controversial content and "progressive" themes within the game.
Developers faced online attacks and calls for a boycott. Efforts were made to discourage support for the developers.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the controversy, urging the public to trust the developers and to critically evaluate online information.
Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes would be distributed in the coming days, following the game's completion in early December. These codes are expected to be released four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers sufficient time to prepare their content.
Interestingly, the first "final previews," based on review copies, are anticipated a week after the initial code distribution.
