Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: A Closer Look at Village Life and Recent Controversy
Warhorse Studios continues to unveil new facets of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, focusing this time on the immersive village activities awaiting players. Protagonist Henry will engage in a range of activities, from simple tasks like shepherding and drinking to more complex interactions such as hunting, crafting antidotes, and assisting villagers with their problems. The game's release is slated for February 4, 2025.
However, the game has recently faced unexpected backlash. Following the discovery of certain subpoenas within the game, activists launched a campaign to cancel Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Figures like Grummz, labeled as "agenda-driven" by some, have amplified this controversy.
Fueling the fire, rumors about the inclusion of "progressive" content and a Saudi Arabian ban on the game spread rapidly across social media. This led to online attacks targeting the developers and calls to boycott the game and its funding.
Warhorse Studios PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded by urging players to trust the developers and to disregard unsubstantiated online claims.
