Hello Kitty Update Welcomes Imagination, Gudetama Event Teased

• Plant fruit trees and dress as knights and princesses
• Gather Mystic Stones to return magic to the Kingdom of Friendship
• A Gudetama-themed event may be on the horizon

Sunblink is honoring the power of imagination in the newest Hello Kitty Island Adventure update, encouraging you to express your creativity during the significant "Fruitful Friendship" event. This update brings a charming refresh to City Town, featuring a brand-new Rooftop Orchard to explore, as well as the return of the aptly named Imagination Celebration Event following the cherry blossom season.

Available until May 22nd, the Imagination Celebration Event lets you team up with Hello Kitty and other Sanrio friends for a medieval-style adventure. While you customize your knight or princess outfits, you’ll collect Mystic Stones to restore enchantment to the Kingdom of Friendship. A touch of magic is essential—luckily, you can also dress as wizards to lend Hello Kitty a helping hand (or wand).

You can also help Keroppi beautify City Town’s rooftops by cultivating various fruit-bearing plants, all to prepare tasty Fruit Sandos at the Imagination Cafe.

Additionally, Puko arrives as Retsuko’s new friend, alongside several quality-of-life upgrades. For me, the most exciting part of this announcement is the mention of an “egg-cellent island takeover by an iconic Sanrio character”—which, in the spirit of all things relaxed and Gude, likely points to my favorite Sanrio star soon making an appearance in Hello Kitty Island Adventure!

If you’re ready to dive into the fun, you can play now via Apple Arcade. We also have a guide to finding every Gudetama if you’re interested.
