Several months ago, LEGO Ideas invited fans to submit designs celebrating 1990s nostalgia. The winning entry for the "Build Your Nostalgia" challenge has just been revealed: an ambitious set based on the iconic sci-fi series The X-Files. The selected design will now undergo development with the LEGO Ideas team, with potential refinements before its eventual release as an official set.

The winning entry, titled "The X-Files: The Truth Is Out There," was created by designer WetWired. This dual-vignette set features a forest UFO encounter scene above Mulder's iconic basement office below. The current prototype comprises approximately 2,020 pieces and includes seven detailed minifigures.
