A brand-new update is available for the Nintendo Switch 2 launch title Mario Kart World, featuring minor adjustments and a comprehensive list of bug fixes.
The latest patch, which upgrades Mario Kart World to version 1.5.0, introduces team races in Knockout Tour mode when playing with friends via online or wireless multiplayer rooms. Additionally, support for the Polish language has been implemented.
A standout detail in the patch notes is a likely typo within the bug fix list, referencing an issue resolved while playing as Kamek on Choco Mountain. Although Kamek isn't currently a playable character (yet) in Mario Kart World, this most probably refers to the Kamek item power-up.
Beyond these changes, no other significant features have been discovered in this update—it is considerably less substantial than Nintendo's 1.4.0 patch released late last year. That earlier update revamped several track layouts to enhance the open-world experience, sparking fan speculation about future expansions.
To date, Nintendo has primarily focused on refining its Switch 2 racer without introducing new DLC (whether free or paid). Only time will reveal how Mario Kart World continues to evolve as the lifespan of the Switch 2 progresses.
