Marvel Rivals to Feature PlayStation's Spider-Man 2 Suit This Month

Marvel Rivals players are in for a thrilling crossover as the iconic Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 swings into the game as a new skin. PlayStation broke the news on X/Twitter, giving fans a sneak peek at how NetEase Games is transforming this classic video game outfit for their hero shooter.

The sleek Advanced Suit 2.0 first appeared as an original design in Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man, and has since become a staple across all three entries in the series. What sets this suit apart is its striking white spider symbol, and its inclusion in Marvel Rivals marks a surprising collaboration with Sony and their console-exclusive superhero game. You can expect Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 to be available in the in-game store starting January 30, coinciding with the PC release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Since its launch in December, Marvel Rivals has been offering a variety of unlockable suits, but the addition of the Advanced Suit 2.0 stands out due to its connection to the beloved PlayStation series. Fans will be delighted to know that Yuri Lowenthal, who voiced Peter Parker in all three Insomniac Spider-Man games, also lends his voice to the character in Marvel Rivals. Players picking up the costume on January 30 will feel right at home as they swing into action.

NetEase's choice to introduce Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 adds another exciting element to the recent Season 1: Eternal Night Falls content drop. This season introduced new playable characters from the Fantastic Four, including Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman, with The Thing and Human Torch set to join soon. Creative director Guangyun Chen has also promised to release at least one new hero every month and a half, ensuring a steady stream of fresh content.
