Insomniac Games Remains Tight-Lipped on Marvel's Wolverine Release Date
Insomniac Games recently shared its future plans, but notably omitted any updates on the highly anticipated Marvel's Wolverine. While the studio confirmed a busy roadmap and new projects, Co-Head Chad Dezern remained coy about Wolverine's release, neither confirming nor denying a 2025 launch. The statement emphasized the studio's excitement but stressed the need to maintain secrecy for now.

Wolverine's Development History and Shared Universe
Initially unveiled at the 2021 PlayStation Showcase with a cinematic trailer, Marvel's Wolverine is confirmed for PlayStation 5. Further fueling fan speculation, Creative Director Bryan Intihar (Marvel's Spider-Man 2) confirmed in a 2023 interview that Wolverine shares the same universe ("1048") as Spider-Man, hinting at potential crossovers. While a Wolverine-themed suit appeared in Spider-Man 2, a full-fledged crossover remains unannounced. A notable incident in December 2023 saw a ransomware attack briefly exposing Wolverine's development assets.

Insomniac's Current Projects and Future Plans
With Marvel's Spider-Man 2 launching on PC January 30, 2025 (as announced at New York Comic-Con 2025), Insomniac clarified that no further DLC is planned for the title. The PC version will, however, include all post-launch updates. Currently, Marvel's Wolverine is the only confirmed ongoing project from Insomniac.
