The closing ceremony of PWC 2025 unveiled three groundbreaking Mega Evolution cards coming to Pocket: Mega Altaria ex, Mega Blaziken ex, and Mega Gyarados ex. These powerful cards introduce an entirely new evolution mechanic to the digital card game.

Breaking from traditional TCG evolution rules, these Mega cards bypass their standard evolved forms - Mega Blaziken evolves directly from Combusken, Mega Gyarados from Magikarp, and Mega Altaria from Swablu.

With an impressive 210 HP and devastating attack power, these Mega Pokémon present an interesting balance challenge. The developers have implemented a bold solution: defeating a Mega Evolved Pokémon grants your opponent three points - enough to instantly win most matches.

Notably, two of the revealed cards (Mega Blaziken and Mega Altaria) hail from the previously unrepresented Hoenn region. It remains uncertain whether these cards will join the current A Series or mark the beginning of a new B Series.

Release Date and Strategic Impact
