Hunting behemoths isn't the only way to enjoy Monster Hunter Wilds. For those seeking the "A Prize Held High" trophy or achievement, the journey lies not with dragons, but with a much smaller, surprisingly elusive creature: the Curioshell Crab. This crustacean is captured using your trusty Capture Net.
While Curioshell Crabs can appear across various maps, the Scarlet Forest offers a reliable hunting ground. Head to Area 6: Flowering Rocks pop-up camp (located between Areas 2 and 6). Near the water puddle in this area, you'll find them spawning frequently. If you're having trouble spotting it, Alma might offer a helpful hint—she'll mention a creature holding something, indicating a nearby Curioshell Crab.
Equip your Capture Net, aim for the orange reticle, and capture the crab. A successful capture nets you both the Curioshell Crab and an Ancient Wyvern Coin. Remember, these crabs are quick, so anticipate their movements for a successful capture.
While the Scarlet Forest (Area 6 and Area 8) provides good odds, Area 13 of the Windward Plains is another potential location. Keep in mind, they might pop up in other areas too, but these locations have proven successful in our testing.
That's all you need to know to claim the "A Prize Held High" trophy/achievement in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more Monster Hunter Wilds guides and tips, check out The Escapist.
