Obtaining the Type-40 Sword

The Type-40 Sword is the reward for completing "Find a Present," the final quest in a three-part side quest chain involving Operator 6O. Unlocking this quest necessitates completing two preceding quests. Here's a step-by-step guide, including chapter selection points:

1. Post-Chapter 5: After defeating Adam and Eve in Chapter 5, you'll receive a communication from Operator 6O. This initiates the "Investigating Communications" quest—complete it immediately as it's easily missed.

2. Chapter 6 & 7 Progression: Advance through Chapter 6 (Forest Castle events) and into Chapter 7.

3. "Terminal Repairs": After speaking with Pascal about A2 and exploring the city ruins, Operator 6O will contact you again, directing you to check your inbox at an access point to begin the "Terminal Repairs" quest.

4. "Find a Present": While returning to the Resistance Camp during Chapter 7, a final communication from Operator 6O will mention flowers and direct you to another inbox message. Interact with this message to start "Find a Present."

5. Reward: Successfully completing "Find a Present" will deliver the Type-40 Sword to your inbox.

Type-40 Sword Stats & Upgrades

At level 1, the Type-40 Sword boasts a 5-hit light attack combo and a 3-hit heavy attack combo. Upgrading it to level 4 increases the light attack combo to 7 hits and enhances its effectiveness against stunned enemies. Titanium Alloy is required for these upgrades.
