However, fans eager for a detailed breakdown of the 2025 launch will have to wait until the Nintendo Direct scheduled for April 2025. A brief trailer not only confirmed the new hardware but also teased a brand new Mario Kart game, culminating in the announcement of the much-anticipated Nintendo Direct.
"Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 will air on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, offering a closer look at Nintendo Switch 2, the successor to Nintendo Switch releasing in 2025," Nintendo stated on its website. Additionally, Nintendo will visit Melbourne from May 10 to 11, Tokyo from April 26 to 27, Seoul from May 31 to June 1, and Hong Kong and Taipei at later dates.
