Palworld 0.5.0 Update: Crossplay, Blueprints, Photo Mode Added

Palworld's latest update, version 0.5.0, introduces a host of exciting new features, including crossplay across all platforms. This update allows players to store Pal data in the Global Palbox and transfer Pals between worlds, enhancing the game's connectivity and flexibility. A new storage system, the Dimensional Pal Storage, offers 10 times the capacity of the regular Palbox. This system is not only accessible to guild members but can also be used as personal storage with private settings, providing players with more control over their in-game assets.

In addition to these storage enhancements, players can now change their character's appearance without affecting armor stats through the new Cosmetic Armour System. This feature, accessible via the Antique Dresser, allows for greater customization and personalization. The update also introduces a Photo Mode, which can be accessed from the Pal Command Wheel, enabling players to take stunning screenshots by hiding the UI and moving the camera freely.

Further enriching the gameplay experience, the Drafting Table allows players to combine low-rarity blueprints to create higher-rarity ones, adding a new layer of strategy to the game. Dedicated servers for Mac have also been added, ensuring a smoother experience for Mac users.

Developer Pocketpair is actively working on adding dedicated servers for the PlayStation 5 version, with a release planned for the future. Since its early access launch in January 2024, Palworld has attracted an impressive 32 million players. The studio has outlined a content roadmap for 2025, promising an "ending scenario" and more new content for this popular creature-catching survival game.

Palworld launched on Steam for $30 and was immediately available on Game Pass for Xbox and PC, breaking sales and concurrent player number records. The game's massive success led Pocketpair to form Palworld Entertainment with Sony, aiming to expand the IP and bring the game to PS5. However, the game's success has also drawn legal attention, with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company filing a lawsuit against Pocketpair for alleged patent infringement. Pocketpair has responded by adjusting how players summon Pals and is prepared to defend its position in court.

▼Specification Adjustments
・Buildings can now be placed even if they overlap with a Pal
・When connecting foundations or roofs, the connected pieces will now automatically align in the same direction
・Assigning an Ice Pal to the Flea Market will slow down item decay in storage and sales
・Added torches at the entrances of random dungeons for better visibility
・Players can now sit on chairs and cushions
・Some weapons that dealt ultra-high damage to trees will no longer drop items upon destruction

▼Balance Adjustments
・Adjusted elemental chest rewards. Dog Coins will always drop from these chests and they also have a small chance of containing work suitability books. (Existing chests in current worlds will retain old drop tables; new ones will follow the updated table.)
・Increased EXP gained from defeating the Attack Chopper
・Increased the DPS of Flamethrowers
・Adjusted the default attack used by Electric and Dark Pals when all active skills are on cooldown, making them more in line with the other elements
・Some human NPCs now have work suitability and work animations when assigned tasks at a base
・Summoned raid bosses can no longer damage other bases
・Added Water attribute to Dumud
・NPC event rewards have been adjusted. To maintain fairness, all NPC conversation logs have been reset, allowing players to claim rewards again!
