People Can Fly, the studio renowned for its work on Bulletstorm and as co-developer of Gears of War: E-Day, has entered into a new agreement with Sony Interactive Entertainment. According to an official report released by the developer, the partnership involves the development of a new title under the codename [ttpp].
Details surrounding [ttpp] remain scarce, with the announcement confirming only that the project is being developed as a work-for-hire title. No further creative or technical specifics have been disclosed at this time.
This latest collaboration adds to People Can Fly’s already packed development schedule, which includes several other high-profile projects. Among them are Project Gemini, a partnership with Square Enix that recently saw a reduction in team size; Project Echo, developed alongside Krafton; Project Red, another rumored Sony-backed title; and Project Bison, the studio’s newly announced VR project that will serve as its final venture into virtual reality.
The past year has seen some internal shifts at the studio, including the suspension of Project Victoria and the scaling back of Project Bifrost. Additionally, Project Dagger, an action-adventure title previously in development with Take-Two Interactive, was officially canceled earlier last year.
Despite these changes, People Can Fly continues to push forward with a robust pipeline of games. Currently, the studio is managing eight known titles, including the highly anticipated Gears of War: E-Day, which is being co-developed with The Coalition. While no release date has yet been set for Gears of War: E-Day, Project Gemini is still slated for a 2026 launch.
