Pokémon GO's Classic Comm Day Returns (Jan 2025)

Niantic has revealed Ralts as the star Pokémon for January's Community Day Classic! This guide details the event, including bonuses and in-app purchases.

January's Community Day Classic: Ralts Takes Center Stage

On January 25th, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (local time), trainers will have a boosted chance to encounter Ralts, including its shiny form.

A special research story focused on Ralts is available for $2 USD. Rewards include a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, and three Ralts encounters with Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds.

Evolving Ralts into Kirlia during the event (or within five hours afterward) unlocks Gardevoir or Gallade with the powerful Charged Attack "Synchronoise" (80 power in Trainer Battles, Gyms, and Raids).

Timed Research offers 4 Sinnoh Stones and a Ralts encounter with a Dual Destiny-themed background. Unlike the main Community Day, this research lasts a week post-event.

An Ultra Community Day Box ($4.99 USD) containing 10 Ultra Balls, 1 Elite Charged TM, and a Special Research ticket is available at the Pokémon GO Web Store starting January 21st, 2025, at 10:00 AM (local time).

Two in-game bundles are also offered:

• 1,350 PokéCoins: 50 Ultra Balls, 5 Super Incubators, 1 Elite Charged TM, 5 Lucky Eggs

Pokémon GO's Recurring Monthly Event

Niantic's monthly Community Day Classic features a different Pokémon each month (e.g., November 2024 featured Mankey). These events increase encounter rates for the featured Pokémon (including shiny variants) and offer an exclusive move upon evolution. Additional bonuses, such as reduced egg hatch distances, are also common. December's event is a special two-day event featuring multiple Pokémon.
