Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Preorder Bonus
Digital preorders and the Day One physical edition of the game come with a nice little bundle of in-game digital items to use if you want them. You'll get the following:
- 57,300 potch
- Fortune Orb x1
- Prosperity Orb x1
Potch is the in-game currency. A Fortune Orb doubles the experience gained by the player holding it. A Prosperity Orb doubles the currency a character receives from battles. The one other caveat is that the main character of the first Suikoden game can't hold both orbs at the same time. The more you know.
What is Suikoden I & II HD Remaster?
The first Suikoden game was released in Japan on the original PlayStation in 1995, with the sequel following in 1998. Both games made their way to the West a year after their Japanese releases. The core gameplay revolves around recruiting 108 warriors to build your army and combat the forces of evil.
This remaster maintains the charm of the original pixelated graphics while enhancing them to fit modern wide-screen displays. Spell effects have been refined for smoother visuals, and character portraits have been redrawn in HD.
Beyond the graphical upgrades, the remaster introduces quality-of-life enhancements such as the ability to speed up battles, an auto-battle mode, auto-save features, and a conversation log to prevent missing dialogue. The user interface has also been revamped to streamline tasks like changing equipment.
