RuneScape has just released its Dev’s Diary for April, detailing the latest update, "Return to the Desert: Pharaoh’s Folly," which introduces a brand-new quest available from today until April 28th. In this thrilling quest, players must navigate the perilous Shifting Tombs and alter the fate of the desert alongside familiar characters Leela and Ozan.
Here’s the Full Scoop on the Pharaoh’s Folly in RuneScape
The Kharidian desert is experiencing escalating tensions as Menaphos descends into chaos. The betrayal by Osman, a key figure in the city, has set off a chain of events that threaten to tear Menaphos apart from within. With the populace divided and the ominous presence of Amascut looming in the shadows, the situation is dire. Surviving the Shifting Tombs marks just the beginning of the challenges ahead.
Fortunately, players won't face these trials alone. Leela, a trusted ally, is back in action, and new companions, including some adorable pets, join the fray. Together, you'll delve into the ancient secrets of Menaphos, aiming to unravel the true intentions behind Osman's actions.
Heading Back into the Heat Again
Successfully completing Pharaoh’s Folly grants players a variety of rewards. These include Thieving and Agility XP, the prestigious title "The Rabble-Rouser," and a unique item called Leela’s Favour bracelet. This bracelet allows for teleportation across all districts of Menaphos, the Sophanem slayer dungeon, the Shifting Tombs, and all active soul obelisks.
This quest is not for the faint-hearted or the inexperienced. Players will need a Slayer level of 87, to have completed the quest "Beneath Scabaras’ Sands," and to have accomplished various tasks within the "Do No Evil" quest in Phite Club. Additionally, players must have constructed the necessary structures from the Fort Forinthry storyline to meet Leela outside the gates of Menaphos and attempt to save the city from its brink.
