This announcement was made on the official THQ Nordic website, signaling a major milestone for the eagerly awaited sequel. The developers are gearing up for a large-scale closed testing phase, inviting "thousands" of brave warriors to join the fray, which suggests a high chance of getting selected for this exclusive PC test.

Players on both Steam and the Epic Games Store can apply to participate in this closed testing. If selected, you'll get early access to Titan Quest II well before its official early access release.
