Top Nintendo Franchise for LEGO Set in 2025 Revealed

Author : Christopher Update:Apr 20,2025

Nintendo and LEGO have already delighted fans with collaborations that bring beloved video game worlds into the realm of physical play. Last year, we saw the dynamic Mario and Yoshi set, which not only looks great but also moves, adding an interactive element to the building experience. Additionally, the first-ever LEGO Legend of Zelda set was a dream come true for many. While the current lineup boasts an impressive variety of Mario-themed sets (including Donkey Kong) and a solid selection of Animal Crossing sets, there's a vast untapped potential in Nintendo's extensive catalog of iconic franchises.

As a fan deeply passionate about both LEGO and Nintendo, the desire for more diverse sets is undeniable. It's time to explore which other Nintendo franchises could transform into captivating LEGO sets, offering fans new ways to engage with their favorite games.

With the excitement building around the announcement of the Switch 2, the future looks bright for Nintendo fans. As the company continues to expand into movies—like the upcoming Mario movie and the anticipated live-action Zelda adaptation—and rolls out new games for the Switch, the possibilities for new LEGO Nintendo sets seem endless. What franchises do you think could realistically make the leap into LEGO form in 2025 or beyond? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

Personally, I believe the Metroid franchise would be an incredible addition to the LEGO lineup. With Metroid Prime 4 on the horizon, it's the perfect time to introduce sets that capture the eerie, atmospheric essence of the series. I'd be eager to purchase any Metroid-themed LEGO sets. Additionally, while LEGO Pokémon sets would be a dream, the existing licensing agreement with Mattel makes this a bit of a long shot.
