Latest Development Updates on Bloodlines 2
Developers Prioritize Optimization and Stability
Paradox Interactive has announced Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2's release will be postponed to October 2025. The official Twitter/X account confirmed this update on March 26 alongside a developer video.
In the video update, Executive Producer Marco Behrmann clarified the game's current stage: "Development content is complete - we're now focusing entirely on polishing performance, eliminating bugs, and ensuring stability to deliver the ultimate player experience."
While Paradox previously shared regular Dev Diaries covering gameplay mechanics, characters, and narrative elements, these updates will temporarily pause as the team concentrates on final quality improvements.
A Troubled Development Timeline

Originally announced in March 2019 with a March 2020 target, Bloodlines 2 entered development limbo after multiple delays. Initial developer Hardsuit Labs faced significant turnover before Paradox reassigned the project to The Chinese Room in 2021.
The release window shifted repeatedly - from late 2024 to early 2025, and now late 2025. This extended timeline reflects the developer's commitment to quality despite the frustrations of eager fans.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 launches October 2025 across PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms. For breaking updates on this long-awaited RPG sequel, stay tuned to our coverage.
